About Evident Digital Pathology

Evident Scientific, formerly part of Olympus Corporation, is a global leader in life-science microscopy and optical instrumentation. Following the acquisition of Pramana, a pioneer in Autonomous Digital Imaging, Evident combines world-class optical heritage with advanced software, robotics, and AI innovation to define the future of Digital Pathology.
Our engineering team has delivered one of the world’s most advanced whole-slide imaging platforms—deployed at leading institutions including Mayo Clinic and trusted by top-tier medical institutions across the U.S. and Europe. We are now advancing from autonomous imaging to intelligent imaging—building adaptive, AI-enabled systems capable of real-time inference at the edge.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (10–15 years experience) to drive execution of complex, cross-functional platform initiatives across hardware and software systems. This role will partner closely with Engineering, Product, QA, and Regulatory teams to ensure predictable delivery of high-impact digital pathology solutions.
This is a hands-on execution leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving, high-ownership environments and wants to scale system-level programs within a global organization.

Key Responsibilities

1 | Program Execution & Delivery

Drive execution of multi-disciplinary programs spanning hardware, embedded systems, software, AI/ML, and cloud platforms.
Translate product and architecture roadmaps into actionable project plans with clear milestones, risks, and dependencies.
Ensure timely delivery from concept through validation and customer deployment.
Track program KPIs and ensure execution aligns with business objectives.

2 | Cross-Functional Coordination

Collaborate across engineering, firmware, AI/ML, QA, regulatory, and operations teams.
Identify and proactively resolve cross-team dependencies and execution bottlenecks.
Support alignment between Product Management and Engineering on scope, priorities, and trade-offs.
Facilitate effective communication across distributed and global teams.

3 | Planning, Governance & Risk Management

Develop and maintain integrated program schedules and resource plans.
Establish execution cadences, status reviews, and structured reporting.
Identify program risks related to system integration, compliance, and deployment; drive mitigation plans.
Ensure readiness for system validation, field release, and scale-up.

4 | Quality & System Integration Oversight

Support system-level integration planning across hardware and software releases.
Ensure alignment between development milestones, testing cycles, and regulatory documentation needs.
Contribute to improving program management practices and delivery frameworks.
Drive post-release reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

5 | Stakeholder Communication

Provide structured, data-driven program updates to senior engineering leadership.
Prepare executive-ready dashboards, reports, and presentations.
Support customer-facing readiness reviews and internal governance forums.
Act as a bridge between strategy and execution teams.

Qualifications

Required

10–15 years of experience in project/program management in technology-driven environments.
Experience delivering hardware–software integrated systems or complex engineering platforms.
Exposure to robotics, embedded systems, imaging platforms, AI/ML systems, or cloud-based solutions.
Strong execution mindset with ability to manage ambiguity and evolving priorities.
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred

Experience in medical devices, digital pathology, medical imaging, or automation systems.
Familiarity with regulated environments (FDA, HIPAA, GDPR, IVDR, etc.).
PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or equivalent certification.
Engineering background (EE, ME, Computer Science) preferred.
